Co Antrim out–of–town retail park Junction One has said it is looking ahead “with optimism” as it begins its second decade in business.
New food and drink tenants O’Briens sandwich cafe and Safari Grill, as well as UK homewares store Julian Charles, will open soon. The new openings will create 20 new jobs at the centre – which is also home to Ireland’s biggest Starbucks, after the coffee giant relocated to larger premises.
A spokeswoman said the park has a vacancy rate of 13% – below the Northern Ireland average of 16.3%.
Tenants Mountain Warehouse, Trespass, O2, Toytown and B&M Bargains have also relocated to larger premises in the park. Another 16 core tenants including M&S, Clarks, Adidas and Next have also signed new leases.
Centre manager Leona Barr said more announcements were to come: “The team has worked hard, consolidated and achieved substantial commitment from existing tenants, many of whom have been at the centre since its 2004 opening.
“Now, in Junction One’s second decade, we are building on those achievements to better reflect the wonderful fusion of outlet and retail shopping as well as its dining and recreational offerings.”
